Trek though rustic villages and visit the Changunarayan Temple one of the oldest temples in the area! Start the Journey
The Chisopani Nagarkot Trek starts from Kathmandu with a short drive to Sundarijal one of the less populated areas on the outskirts of the capital. Here our short trek in Nepal commences. We hike up to Chisopani exactly translated to Cold Water. Being higher then Kathmandu the weather is mostly refreshing colder, hence the name Chisopani. From here the real adventure starts. Trekking up and down through the forest trails with incredible valley views the Chisopani Nagarkot Trek becomes immediately rewarding. Reaching Nagarkot in the evening our Rediscover Nepal guide takes you up to the viewpoint for an amazing sunset view over the Nepalese Himalayas. The next morning is even more spectacular with a sunrise view from Nagarkot viewpoint!

Now the Chisopani Nagarkot Trek takes a cultural side as we head down to the Changunarayan Temple deep in the forest. After roaming around this medieval temple we take a vehicle to Bhaktapur. Once an old Newari Kingdom, Bhaktapur has a lot to offer. A visit to the old royal durbar square is just what we need. Explore around the small alleys and visit the old palaces, museums and temples. And to end the Chisopani Nagarkot Trek we head back to Kathmandu and go sightseeing at Swayambunath the monkey temple, Boudhanath Buddhist Stupa and the holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath just on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu.
