1. Basantapur Durbar Square:
Basantapur Durbar Square is a series of temples and palaces built around the 16th century by Malla dynasty. This popular tourist site sheds light on the life of ancient Royal. You will see Hanuman Dhoka (used to be a royal palace), Kastamandap Temple (believed to be made from the wood of a single tree and Kathmandu got its name derived from Kasthamandap), Kumari Ghar (the home where the living goddess - Kumari lives) and many other surrounding temples and shrines. The stone, wood and metalwork, architecture of these palaces are engaging to observe and you will feel yourself time travel to the medieval area while witnessing these masterpieces.

2. Swayambhunath Stupa:
Swayambhunath is popularly known as the monkey temple, which is just 4 km away from Thamel. Situated on a hilltop, it offers a magnificent panoramic view of Kathmandu valley. It's also a religious site for Hindu and Buddhist. It houses Hindu temples and Buddhist stupa at the same place, which also signifies the friendly and harmonious relationship between these two religions in Nepal. You have to climb a long staircase that directly leads you to the platform of the temple. You will encounter many monkeys rambling here and there on your way. At the top, you will find a colossal dome of Swayambhunath stupa with 4 eyes overlooking in each direction.

3. Bouddhanath Stupa:
The dome of Boudhanath stupa is considered as one of the largest domes in the world. This colossal dome with golden spire makes it captivating to observe. The place around the stupa, Bouddha, is also known as little Tibet. You will find the influence of Tibetan culture in food, lifestyle, clothing of people living in this area. Boudhanath stupa is surrounded by many souvenir shops, restaurants, tea shops. You will enjoy Tibetan tea watching the Buddhist culture and traditions around Boudhanath.

4. Pashupatinath Temple:
Pashupatinath temple is a sacred place that is dedicated to Lord Shiva known by many names like Samvo, Bhole Baba, Mahadev and so on. Our guide will tell you the myths of lord shiva while visiting this temple and the surroundings. In the evening an event of music and songs is organized devoted to shiva called Arati that you can enjoy. You can watch the cremation process of Hindu just behind the temple on the bank of Bagmati river. Visit the small forest(Mrigasthali) just at the top of a nearby hill where here you can spot deers.
