This geographical diversity has made Nepal not only rich in natural beauty but also an adventure paradise for travelers. From whitewater rafting, jungle safaris, and canoeing, to mountain trekking and cultural sightseeing, Nepal promises a diverse, immersive, and unforgettable travel experience.

The Explore Nepal Tour offered by Rediscover Nepal Treks & Tours is a carefully curated 8-day journey that introduces travelers to the cultural richness, natural beauty, and ethnic diversity of Nepal. Best Time for Explore Nepal Tour

Choosing the right time to visit Nepal enhances your travel experience significantly. The Explore Nepal Tour can be done year-round, but the best time to embark on this tour is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These are considered the peak travel seasons in Nepal due to clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and stable weather conditions.

Spring (March – May):

  • Blooming rhododendrons and lush greenery throughout the country.
  • Ideal for jungle safari in Chitwan, with high chances of spotting wildlife.
  • Perfect visibility of Himalayan mountain ranges for photography and sightseeing.
  • Comfortable weather for city exploration and cultural visits.

Autumn (September – November):

  • Post-monsoon clarity provides the best views of snow-capped peaks.
  • Festival season in Nepal – travelers can experience Dashain, Tihar, and other major festivals.
  • Cool and dry weather, ideal for both adventure and leisure activities.
  • High tourist season – energetic atmosphere and well-maintained trails and attractions.

While winter (December – February) is colder, especially in hill stations like Nagarkot, it is still possible to do the tour with proper clothing. Similarly, summer/monsoon (June – August) brings heavy rains, particularly affecting travel to hilly and jungle regions like Pokhara and Chitwan. Roads can be slippery, and visibility may be limited. However, the lush greenery and fewer tourists during monsoon can appeal to some nature lovers.

It is the perfect place to take a deep breath and admire the landscape of the valley and surrounding lush hills. The stupa has stood as a symbol of faith and harmony for centuries with Hindu temples and deities incorporated in this Buddhist site.

Bouddhanath Stupa: The dome of Boudhanath Stupa is considered as the largest one in the world. Bouddha, the place where stupa resides is also known as little tibet. You will enjoy observing the colossal stupa and can even sit for a while doing meditation. You will witness the influence of tibetian culture in food, dress and lifestyle of people living there.

Pashupatinath Temple: One of the most sacred places for Hindu devotee, Pashupatinath temple, is dedicated to lord Shiva. Our guide will tell you the myth about lord shiva and explain you the Hindu spiritual philosophy associated with him. You can also observe the cremation ceremony by Hindus just behind the temple on the bank of Bagmati river.  You will enjoy devotional song and music offered to Shiva, which is known by the name “Aarati” in the evening.

We start our day with breakfast and drive towards chitwan. We will visit chitwan national park which is home to rare species for example one horned rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger. Spread in a vast acreage of land in chitwan district, chitwan national park is popular among the tourists for jungle safari, cultural shows and water sports and many more. With extended day itinerary we can even go for a rafting in trishuli river. Chitwan National park is home to about 525 bird species, 55 amphibians and reptiles and 50 mammal species. The large number of lodges, hotels and guesthouses in sauraha is the evidence of the fact that how popular this place is to the tourist.

After lunch we will see elephant stable, tharu village and sunset view from bank of Rapti river. We will attend Tharu cultural show in the evening and rest at hotel.

Believe me, this is going to be an awe-inspiring view. Paragliding is another popular activity from sarangkot. From Sarangkot you will see the beautiful panoramic view of pokhara city, lakes, and mountains. Then we will descend down driving on a meandering road for our lunch at the city.

After lunch we take some rest and head to explore Phewa lake and Bindabasini temple.

Bindabasini Temple, known locally as Bindhyabasini Mandir. Standing proudly atop a hill, this striking temple looks calmly over the bustling city of Pokhara. Devotee offers praying to the goddess durga also referred as Shakti - the goddess of energy or power. We then head towards David falls- an awesome waterfall just 2 km away from the city core. The gushing water through the rocks, making a hypnotic sound is worth a visit, during the rainy season when the water volume is high the waterfall looks marvelous. David falls is known locally as Potale Chango. Just near to the fall there is a cave- Gupteshwor cave, popular for its shape and the interior embellished with colored limestones.

We return back to Kathmandu either driving or by a flight. If we prefer to drive and watch the scenery along our way, it will take 6 hours whereas if we prefer to take a flight and watch the aerial view of lush hills and snow-clad mountains a 30 min flight will take us to Kathmandu.

We then head towards Nagarkot, just one and a half hour drive from Kathmandu. On our way we visit bhaktapur city, an ancient series of temples and places of temples - Bhaktapur Durbar Square. 55 window palaces and Nyatapola Temple (five stories) are few among the many attractions of bhaktapur durbar square. Bhaktapur city has preserved its old cultural and traditional values by native newari people, and unique atmosphere not found in any other places.

We then head towards Nagarkot to witness sunset and overnight stay.

We wake up early in the morning to observe the sunrise from view tower at Nagarkot. Nagarkot is famous for sunrise, sunset and distant view of mountain range on a clear sky. People often visit this place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the fresh air in the nearby hills of Nagarkot. After sunrise view and breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu.
