Upon arrival in Kathmandu we welcome and greet you in Tribhuvan International Airport to this beautiful Himalayan country of Nepal. You will be transferred to hotel for rest and relaxation. In the evening you can enjoy Nepali dinner and cultural shows organized in local restaurant.
We will have a city tour of Kathmandu visiting the following sites
Patan Durbar Square: Lying in the city of fine art, Patan Durbar Square shed light on the life of ancient Malla dynasty. This city flourished during Medieval times and the architecture masterpieces of that era are still preserved in this place in the form of temples and series of palaces. You will admire the art and architecture of palaces, temples when you observe Krishna Mandir -said to be built with a stone, Royal Palace and Royal Bath and various other monuments standing around.
Swayambhunath Stupa: Swayambhunath stupa is popularly known as the Monkey temple is just 4 km away from thamel, situated on the top of a small hill offering spectacular view of Kathmandu valley and snow-clad mountains range. It is the perfect place to take a deep breath and admire the landscape of the valley and surrounding lush hills. The stupa has stood as a symbol of faith and harmony for centuries with Hindu temples and deities incorporated in this Buddhist site.
Bouddhanath Stupa: The dome of Boudhanath Stupa is considered as the largest one in the world. Bouddha, the place where stupa resides is also known as little tibet. You will enjoy observing the colossal stupa and can even sit for a while doing meditation. You will witness the influence of tibetian culture in food, dress and lifestyle of people living there.
Pashupatinath Temple: One of the most sacred places for Hindu devotee, Pashupatinath temple, is dedicated to lord Shiva. Our guide will tell you the myth about lord shiva and explain you the Hindu spiritual philosophy associated with him. You can also observe the cremation ceremony by Hindus just behind the temple on the bank of Bagmati river. You will enjoy devotional song and music offered to Shiva, which is known by the name “Aarati” in the evening.
We start our day with breakfast and drive towards chitwan. We will visit chitwan national park which is home to rare species for example one horned rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger. Spread in a vast acreage of land in chitwan district, chitwan national park is popular among the tourists for jungle safari, cultural shows and water sports and many more. With extended day itinerary we can even go for a rafting in trishuli river. Chitwan National park is home to about 525 bird species, 55 amphibians and reptiles and 50 mammal species. The large number of lodges, hotels and guesthouses in sauraha is the evidence of the fact that how popular this place is to the tourist.
After lunch we will see elephant stable, tharu village and sunset view from bank of Rapti river. We will attend Tharu cultural show in the evening and rest at hotel.
We canoe in Rapti river for 30 min with some guidelines from government authorities. We can get a closer look at Mugger and Gharial crocodiles, freshwater dolphins and various water birds. Next planned activity for this day is jungle safari in chitwan national park. We will ride on the back of an elephant to see the exotic species of various mammals and reptiles for example one horned rhinoceros, seers and many different kinds of birds. There is a chance of seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger. We will enjoy a bath in Rapti river with elephant.

A 6 hours drive from chitwan will lead us to the beautiful city of lakes - Pokhara. We travel through bus or private vehicle observing the scenic mountain view, lush hills and terraced farms of rice paddies. The drive towards pokhara is an amazing experience in itself.
On the way we visit Manakamana Temple dedicated to the goddess of fulfilling wishes. We will take the cable car ride to reach the temple residing on the top of Manakamana hill. You can enjoy evening eating delicious meals at some restaurant upon arrival in Pokhara.
Early in the morning we will go for an excursion trip to sarangkot which is popular for sunrise view in pokhara. You will observe the stunning red sun glowing in distant mountains, spreading rays over the snow-clad mountains making it looks like mountains covered with golden blanket. Believe me, this is going to be an awe-inspiring view. Paragliding is another popular activity from sarangkot. From Sarangkot you will see the beautiful panoramic view of pokhara city, lakes, and mountains. Then we will descend down driving on a meandering road for our lunch at the city.
After lunch we take some rest and head to explore Phewa lake and Bindabasini temple.
Bindabasini Temple, known locally as Bindhyabasini Mandir. Standing proudly atop a hill, this striking temple looks calmly over the bustling city of Pokhara. Devotee offers praying to the goddess durga also referred as Shakti - the goddess of energy or power. We then head towards David falls- an awesome waterfall just 2 km away from the city core. The gushing water through the rocks, making a hypnotic sound is worth a visit, during the rainy season when the water volume is high the waterfall looks marvelous. David falls is known locally as Potale Chango. Just near to the fall there is a cave- Gupteshwor cave, popular for its shape and the interior embellished with colored limestones.
We return back to Kathmandu either driving or by a flight. If we prefer to drive and watch the scenery along our way, it will take 6 hours whereas if we prefer to take a flight and watch the aerial view of lush hills and snow-clad mountains a 30 min flight will take us to Kathmandu.
We then head towards Nagarkot, just one and a half hour drive from Kathmandu. On our way we visit bhaktapur city, an ancient series of temples and places of temples - Bhaktapur Durbar Square. 55 window palaces and Nyatapola Temple (five stories) are few among the many attractions of bhaktapur durbar square. Bhaktapur city has preserved its old cultural and traditional values by native newari people, and unique atmosphere not found in any other places.
We then head towards Nagarkot to witness sunset and overnight stay.
We wake up early in the morning to observe the sunrise from view tower at Nagarkot. Nagarkot is famous for sunrise, sunset and distant view of mountain range on a clear sky. People often visit this place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the fresh air in the nearby hills of Nagarkot. After sunrise view and breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu.
