Traveler’s note: Pokhara is one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities, surrounded by the Annapurna Himalayas, Phewa Lake and Mt. Machhapuchhre always watching over. One of the best things to do is taking a stroll around Phewa Lake and having a relaxing dinner in one of the lakeside restaurants!

We take a local vehicle and drive up to Nayapul

From here we start our trek and head for Tikhedhunga

The path leads gradual up with our first amazing valley views

After a good half day of hiking we reach at Tikhedunga

Today we head straight for Ghorepani

Our first stop is Ulleri

After that we head straight up though ridge paths with amazing views

Traveler’s note: depending on our stamina and the time of day it is possible to hike further up to Poon Hill to capture an epic sunset! The next morning we head up to Poon Hill really early so prepare your headlights and cameras!

Leaving our gear in Ghorepani we head up to Poon Hill

Enjoy the amazing sunrise views over the Annapurna Range

Hike back down to Ghorepani for breakfast

Trek up and down for most of the day to Tadapani

Breakfast and departure

A short trekking day today to Ghandruk the Gurung Village

Head through some small villages and forests

After a few hours we reach Ghandruk

The rest of the day is free for exploring and enjoying incredible views

Traveler’s note: Did you know that Gandruk is the biggest Gurung settlement of the area? Besides the amazing views a local Gurung museum is located in the village for trekkers passing through. A great way to learn about the local culture and people!

We start today by heading to Landruk

The trail goes mostly down at first followed by a short ascend to Pothana

It’s our last day of trekking as we head down to Dhampus

Enjoying our last views the day goes smoothly downwards

After a short break in Dhampus we hike a little bit further down to Phedi

A local vehicle drives us back to Pokhara
